In India, the number of positive Coronavirus cases crossed over 800 and already 21 people have lost their lives to covid-19. Indian authorities are leaving no stone unturned to combat Covid-19. India is under complete lockdown till 15th April because social distancing is the only option left to fight the disease.

West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is taking every possible measure to keep her citizens safe and to prevent the spread of Coronavirus pandemic in Bengal. Recently, Mamata Banerjee wrote to Prime Minister Modi urging 1,500 crores to tackle the Coronavirus pandemic as the state needs more labs, kits to test coronavirus cases in the state.

As the number of positive cases is reported to be 15 and there was a sharp rise from 10 to 15 in a day which is quite alarming.

As per the reports of the Economic Times, PM Narendra Modi has spoken to Mamata Banerjee over the phone. In the 10 minutes telephonic conversation, PM Modi has ensured all help to the state government from central as per as medical health is concerned and if the state finds any difficulties she should reach out to him.

PM Modi has praised Bengal’s fight against Covid-19 and appreciated the steps taken by Mamata Banerjee to stop the spread of COVID-19.

After, the telephonic conversation Home Minister Amit Shah lauded Mamata Government for their efforts to curb the outbreak and has also extended their assistance during the health crisis.
