The number of Coronavirus cases in India reached 14,378 and the death toll rose to 480 on Saturday. As per the data of the Health Ministry, approximately 2000 people have recovered from the deadly virus.

India is currently under nationwide lockdown till 3rd May. PM Modi addressed the nation on Tuesday 14th April on the last day of the 21 day lockdown for the third time in the wake of Coronavirus.

Every state in India is imposing strict rules with full force to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. In certain parts of the country section 144 and complete lockdown has been enforced to control the spread of the disease. Also, to keep the people at home who are failing to understand the seriousness of the disease.

They have set COVID-19 helpline number for the delivery of essential commodities, queries, complaints, emergency. Thousand of police officers are engaged in providing emergency deliveries in their personal response vehicles (prv’s) during the nationwide lockdown.

In Uttar Pradesh Chief Ministers helpline number 1076 is receiving panic calls, delivery of essential like medicines, rasogullas, paan, gutka, as per the reports of HT an official admitted.

However, the cop who received the call demanding an urgent delivery of rasogolla in Lucknow’s Hazartganj. When a volunteer delivered the sweets, he found out an 80-year-old man who’s diabetic needed them as his blood sugar level fell sharply.

The officers were baffled when they received calls demanding samosa with chutney (to be specific), pizza, paan, gutka and alcohol. Children love junk food, as they’re homebound currently, they’re asking the police uncles to deliver chips, ice creams, pizzas and cake.

Officials did deliver samosas with chutney but the caller had to pay a price for it. He was asked to clean a drain.

Though, every demand is not getting fulfilled. As per the reports, the district authorities in Rampur are punishing those making irrelevant demands.
