Coronavirus outbreak in India has reached stage 3 in some parts of the country and also we might have reached the community transmission, which can be deadly for the future of our country.

Recently, the director of AIIMS, Delhi Dr Randeep Guleria spoke to Aaj Tak and expressed his concern over the Coronavirus outbreak in India. He said, cases have sharply increased in some areas and in Mumbai, localized community spread was witnessed which clearly states we are in between stage 2 and 3.

Dr Randeep Guleria said, it’s time for us to be more vigilant and the situation will be more clear after April 10 when crucial data will be available. When Randeep Guleria was asked about the extension of lockdown, he said, we’ll be able to know only after 10th April. As it’ll take time to normalize things.

As of now, in last 24 hours, India has reported 693 positive cases, taking the total count to 4,067 and the death toll has gone up to 109 while 291 people recovered, as per the data of health ministry. The rapid increase of positive Coronavirus cases witnessed a surge last week in the country because of a religious gathering held at Delhi’s Nizamuddin by the Tablighi Jamaat.
