The Vice Chancellor of Calcutta University, Sonali Chakravarti Banerjee on September 2nd announced that due to the global health crisis, the university would take the undergraduate and postgraduate final examination in online mode. Exams are scheduled to be conducted between 1 to 18 October and the result will be declared by 31st October. 

The only good part in writing your final examination will be, it will be an open book exam as decided by the varsity. 

“Calcutta University will take the  final term exams for both UG and PG levels between October 1-18 in online mode. The result will be declared within October 31. The question paper will be delivered to the students via whatsapp or email,” Banerjee said. 

She further added, the students will be asked to submit the answer sheets through whatsapp or email. If students will face any difficulty regarding online submission, they have the option to submit a hardcopy of their answer sheets  to the university.

This decision was taken after the verdict of the Supreme Court of India dated August 28, that exams shall be conducted.
