If you avoid wearing masks you don't look smart, but stupid during the troubled times. In a bizarre incident, the Kanpur police arrested a 'goat' that was roaming with wearing a mask violating the lockdown norms. Ironic, isn't it?
The incident happened in the Beconganj area of Kanpur from where the police officer picked up the goat and took it to the nearest police station in a jeep.
As soon, as the owner of the goat learnt police officers had taken his goat away, he rushed to the police station. Requested and pleaded in front of the officers to leave his goat. Police officers allowed him to take back his goat with a warning, not to allow the animal to roam around freely.
The police officer who took the goat said, people are now making their dogs wear a mask so why not a goat?
This particular violation of lockdown norm cracked up the netizens. It quickly became the butt of jokes, soon after it went viral.
Circle officer, Anwarganj police station, Saifuddin Beg, tried to cover up the case, saying, that the police had found a youth without a mask, taking the goat along.
He further added, when he saw the police, he ran away, leaving the goat behind so the policemen brought the goat to the police station. Later, we handed over the goat to its owner.
