It's said India was too quick to enforce lockdown at the very first stage as compared to other countries. This move was appreciated by WHO and other countries when India went into lockdown, it only had 519 confirmed cases across the country. We are currently in the unlock phase as lockdown has been uplifted to boost India's economy which was in a standstill due to the pandemic and uncertain lockdown.

India's GDP is in its all-time low rather in doldrums with -23.4 per cent, however, things make it more worse as economists say it'll further worsen and take time to recover, which is why when CORONAVIRUS is at its worst, everything is open and we can't complain because India needs to be self-sufficient (Aatma Nirbhar).

India now has crossed the 4 million mark and surged past Brazil, becoming the second most affected nation from the virus. Lately, as the citizens are trying to adapt with the new normal, our country is registering a significantly high number of COVID-19 cases on a daily basis. In the span of 24 hours, on Saturday, India reported 90,632 fresh cases. The death toll, by government figures, stands at 72,640.

The Union health ministry data, updated earlier in the day, had put the Covid-19 tally at 4,236,961. Since then data reported by the states has taken the figure past 4.2 million. However, as per the government data, the death rate has further declined to 1.74 per cent in the country.

India is currently the third worst-hit nation by the pandemic after the US by suppressing Brazil. Choose wisely, you wish to be out chilling!
