The ongoing tension between India and China has been going on since April. An Indian Army officer and two soldiers died and 11 Chinese are injured during a 'violent face off' with the Chinese troops took place in the Galway Valley, Ladakh.

Indian Army confirmed and issued a statement on Tuesday, it reads, During the de-escalation process underway in the Galwan Valley, a violent face-off took place yesterday night with casualties. The loss of lives on the Indian side includes an officer and two soldiers.

The army officials also said in a statement, a meeting is initiated between the seniors of both militaries to defuse the situation. 

As per reports, there were casualties on both sides, China called out India and asked to not take unilateral actions and stir up trouble.  

According to sources, last week two sides made progress in the meeting. Chief General MM Naravane saying severance was in process and the development had come after weeks of tension, which also includes an incident in which patrolling soldiers from the two sides came to blows on the banks of Pangong Lake, resulting in injuries.

Current Update: Senior military officials of the two sides are currently meeting at the venue to defuse the situation.
