Kim Jong-un supreme leader of North Korea is know for his arrogance and ruthless strictness. Recently, Kim Jong-un ordered his citizens to give up their pet dogs, so the canines can be used as meat for restaurants.
North Korea is currently facing a massive shortage of food supplies during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. Which led to Kim Jong-un ordering his people to hand over their pet dogs to be someone else's food. His disgusting thought to end the food shortage is tagged as brutal and inhuman.
However, the supreme leader justified his move by using class difference. He has also ordered a ban on pet ownership, claiming it a symbol of 'western decadence' further referring it as 'a tainted trend by bourgeois ideology’.
According to the reports of The Mirror, the Supreme leader said, that the ordinary people raise livestock and cattle while only the rich and elite have pet dogs. He called having pet dogs a sign of "capitalism" and "bourgeois ideology".
Authorities have been appointed already to identify families who own pet dogs in North Korea. Once, they are identified they will be bound to give up on their pets.
Many people are upset because, in Kim Jong-un empire, you can't say no the supreme leader.
