So finally the wait is over! The number of registrations this year was overwhelming and surpassed the expectations of the organizers as said by Vikas Singh, Director, IIMC because not only the club pujas took part but also the “Bonedi bari pujas” took an active initiative.
IIMC Digital Impact Awards is aimed to honour the best durga puja committees on social media platform. Not only the new generation pujas but also the age old puja committees were seen equally active on digital platform. It is a beautiful initiative taken by IIMC towards digitalization and as quoted by Satrajit Sen this is a “Baby step today-a GIANT tomorrow”.
Present in the event, Honourable Guest, Debashis Sen, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary Information Technology & Electronics Department, Govt. Of WB said,” It was really intriguing for me to know how Durga Puja committees are getting the award even before Puja has started, I really appreciate the idea because it is very unique and it supports digitilization. He also added “ It is a great idea and we would really look forward to support these kind of initiatives and apply the ideas in future.”
After putting in a lot of time and effort and going through every posts and pages of the participating durga puja committees and keeping the parameters in mind the jury members who are Satrajit Sen, Alokananda Roy, DJ Akash Rohira, Surojit Chatterjee and Sudarshan Chakravorty have come up with the names of the winners of the different categories.

The Awards would be distributed to the puja committees on 24th September 2017 by the jury members.
As even the jury members said its not about the competition but the spirit of the puja that brings us all together.
