Kolkata, July 5: There is nothing better than biting into a fresh and succulent flaky fish that just melts in the mouth with the first bite. And if you are a true Kolkatan who love their daily dose of fish, adda and rains, The Palms Restaurant at 19A, Meghnad Saha Sarani, Southern Avenue is delighted to present Coastal Connect: A Fish Festival from July 8 to July 30. Celebrating the essence of the monsoon and Kolkata’s love for fish, Foodies can choose over a huge array of delectable flaky and aromatic fish based entrees and main courses that will leave them craving for more.

What can be better than sitting on a rain soaked evening biting into a freshly fried fish, wisps of aromatic smoke rising from the golden brown batter. Food lovers can indulge in the wonderful rain-washed streets of Kolkata with its earthy aroma as Coastal Connect offers them an array of delicious fish based dishes from their Indian repertoire that are a perfect pair to the romantic drizzle outside.

Speaking about the festival, owner Priyadarshini Dey said, “Keeping in mind Kolkata’s love for the rains and for fish, we at The Palms Restaurat decided to launch Coastal Connect, a fish festival, that celebrates the city’s favourite protein in varied Indian flavours.” She further added, “From the beautiful and flaky Pomfret Dahi Curry Gujarati Style to the refreshingly aromatic Bangra Fry or some healty and of course the fish of the season Hilsa cooked with some delicious spices in Hilsa Hara Mirch, the dishes are a perfect accompaniment to the romantic drizzle outside.”

Guests can choose from a variety of entrees and main courses that include the Surmai Tawa Fry, Hyderabadi Tawa Fry Bangra, Pomfret Dahi Curry and Goan Curry amongst others. Every dish is accompanied by a side of rice.

Timings for Coastal Connect are 12pm to 4pm and 6pm to 11pm on all days. Pocket pinch is Rs 550 plus taxes for two. Each dish will be accompanied by a side of rice.
