It was a ‘dream come true’ for her. Born and brought up in Bangladesh, Jannatul Sumaiya Heme started her acting career with the upcoming Bengali movie ‘Hothat dekha’. The film is directed by Reshmi Mitra. In this film debutant actress Heme shared screen with Debasree Roy, Iliyas Kanchan, Tulika Basu, and Deep Bhattacharya.

Speaking to Heme about how she bagged the movie she said, “Impress Telefilm, a Bangladesh based production house, recommended me to Reshmi Mitra Films, as it was decided to choose  artists from both the countries, India and Bangladesh, the film being a joint venture initiative. I went to India and met Reshmi Di who is a wonderful person and I was selected as the lead. Sharing her experience she also added “I find myself very lucky to share screen with such experienced actors, Iliyas Kanchan and Debasree Roy, they have been very cooperative and also I have learnt a lot from them”.

‘Hothat Dekha' , the name of the film itself depicts the subject of the film, the story of the movie is inspired by a well known poem of Rabindranath Tagore. A special screening of the movie was held at Nandan on 3rd December in the presence of the cast of the movie. ‘Hothat Dekha’ will be released in both Kolkata and Bangladesh in 2017.
