Arpan Basak’s short ‘Malini’ is set to give chills to the audience. The movie is based on soul searching of a author who is coming to terms with his alter ego's and this is a journey of self discovery. Also, Malini is going to fasinate the viewers to explore the life of the author.  The story revolves around an established 27 years old young writer Saranjit who has already completed four novels and is highly appreciated by the readers.

It highly focuses on Saranjit who received fame at a young age but he decided the glitz and glam industry after his last book release, Malini. The world couldn’t find Saranjit again but years later a journalist decided to trace Saranjit for a story to unfold the unspoken answers. Who was Malini? Why Saranjit left everything in the middle of nowhere? Well, if you want to know why then you should watch MALINI.

Riturparna Sen known as Rii will be portraying the character of the journalist Sreemoyee. It is one of the crucial characters in the movie as with the vision of Sreemoyee the story will be unfolded and we would get to know what happened to Saranjit. Sreemoyee fights with all the odds to trace down Saranjit and even convinced him to talk about his life to ease her curiosity.

Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee will be seen playing a very interesting character. Sujoy said, he was taken aback by the conceptualization of the project and also because it was being led by a young, enthusiastic team.

The character of Saranjit is being played by 19-year-old Supratim Saha who has done a phenomenal job by pulling the character of a 27-year-old boy. Makeup plays a crucial role in Saranjit as it helped Supratim look like a 27-year-old man.

Malini has been conceptualized and directed by Arpan Basak, produced by Biswajit Kumar and cinematography by Anubhav Chatterjee. We are highly anticipated to watch ‘Malini’.
