Last week, we were lucky enough to witness the planet Venus coming close to the Pleiades (a cluster of stars, which is also known as seven sisters) and today we will be fortunate to see the biggest and the brightest full moon of the year.

As per the reports of India Today, a super pink moon will be 7% bigger and 15% brighter because of its closeness to Earth than an average full moon. However, it won’t have a pink hue as the name signifies the springtime blooming of the moss pink flower.

The Pink Moon will appear on the sky on April 7 after sunset. In India, it’ll be seen on 8th April at 8.15 am in the morning. The pink moon which is also known as Egg Moon, Fish Moon and Sprouting Grass Moon can be witnessed with our naked eyes as well as binoculars or a small telescope.

Be safe at your home and watch the super pink moon without stepping out of your house. Don’t forget to click pictures with your DSLR or mobile phone.

I’m excited to watch the Pink Moon for the first time, are you?
