Akshay Kumar is going to set foot in the Telegu movie industry and has started working on it just after his and Tiger Shroff's movie BMCM launched this EID. Khiladi will take part in the Kannappa movie along with Prabhas and Mohanlal.
Kannappa is a fantasy drama film that is based on the life of a devotee of the Hindu god Shiva. Kannappa will be played by actor Visnu Manchu.
Vishnu Manchu shared a post on X showing Akshay Kumar being welcomed at the Star Hotel in Hyderabad and is also seen engaging with Vishnu and Mohan Babu. Akshay was spotted in a black shirt, trousers, and cap.
Vishnu quotted in the post, "The Kanappa journey just got more thrilling as we welcome the superstar Mr. Akshay Kumar to the Telugu film industry." I am thrilled to announce his debut in Telugu cinema with Kannappa. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure!"
On the ospicious day of Maha Shivratri this March, the first look at the movie was released. Fans are waiting for Khiladi's first performance in the Telegu movie industry.
Previously, Trade Analyst Ramesh Bala also confirmed this news on X, writing, “Bollywood Superstar @akshaykumar joins the cast of Prestigious Pan-India Biggie—Actor @iVishnuManchu’s Big Budget Movie #Kannappa. After #Prabhas, @Mohanlal, @PDdancing, and @realsarathkumar, @akshaykumar is one more grand addition to the movie’s cast. Stay tuned for more exciting updates. (sic)”.
Earlier Akshay Kumar has worked in the south but never in the Telegu industry; this will be his third venture in the south. Kannappa's cast also includes Prabhas, Mohanlal, Nayanthara, Kriti Sanon, and others.
24 Frames Factory and Ava Entertainment are producing the movie, and the music will be featured by Stephen Devassy and Manisharma.
