Next month marks the release of Pathikrit Bose's film 'Dabaadu'. This Windows-produced movie is a biographical picture of Grandmaster Suryashekhar Gangopadhyay. The movie's filming got underway in July of last year. On Wednesday, the movie's first poster was unveiled.
Rising from a middle-class household in North Kolkata, Surya defies all difficulties to pursue a career in professional chess. Surya was portrayed in the movie by Arghya Basu Roy. Shankar Chakraborty and Rituparna Sengupta are assuming the roles of Surya's protectors.
Nevertheless, Chiranjit Chakraborty served as Surya's coach. In addition, there are Kharaj Mukhopadhyay, Kaushik Sen, Dipankar Dey, and others.
