On Tuesday, Yoga guru Ramdev’s Patanjali group claimed to have found the cure of COVID-19 virus. At the Patanjali headquarters in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar, baba Ramdev launched a drug named ‘Cornil’.

Patanjali claimed it’s the first Ayurvedic medicine to cure the deadly Coronavirus disease. However, the doctors and scientists across the globe are in the race to develop an effective COVID-19 cure to combat the contagious disease.

Baba Ramdev said during the launch, "Coming up with a clinically tested, evidence-based medicine was a challenge,” it’s part of the Divya Corona Kit that includes another tablet and an oil.

They have also claimed 'Coronil' and 'Swasari' had shown 100 per cent results during clinical trials on affected patients.

The Union Ministry of Ayush asked Patanjali to provide detailed information about Coronil and its studies. The ministry also said that until the details are examined by it, Patanjali should stop advertising and publicising its claims.

As per the reports of ANI, the Licencing officer said, during the approval application for Coronil, it wasn’t mentioned about Coronavirus. However, they received licence approval as an immunity booster.

He further said, we’ll issue them a notice asking how they received the permission to make the kit for Covid-19.

The Government has asked Patanjali to refrain from advertising the medicine kit as Covid-19 cure. Until, they get approval from the government.
