Veteran Bengali actor and former MP of All India Trinamool Congress Tapas Pal breathed his last breath today at 4.00 am in Bombay. The 61-year-old actor went to visit his daughter Sohini Paul who resides in Mumbai. 

As per the reports of PTI agency, While returning to Kolkata, Pal complained about chest pain at the airport and he was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Juhu, Mumbai on 18th February but passed away around 4.00 am due to cardiac arrest. 

Tapas Pal was suffering from heart ailments and was hospitalized numerous times for treatment for the past two years. The actor wasn’t keeping well lately.      

When the legendary actor of Bengali Film Industry Ranjit Mallick was asked about the heartbreaking news. Ranjit Mallick said Pal’s demise is untimely. I’m yet to come to terms with the news. Also, he wasn’t keeping well for quite some time.  

Tapas Pal made his Tollywood debut in the year 1980 with Tarun Majumder’s Dadar Kirti opposite Mahua Roychoudhury, Debashree Roy and Sandhya Roy. With Debashree Roy. The Guru Dakshina actor won accolades for his film Saheb,  Parabat Priya, Bhalobasa Bhalobasa, Anurager Choyan, Amar Bandhan and Guru Dakshina. 

Tapas Pal won Filmfare award for his film Saheb.  He made his Bollywood debut opposite the gorgeous Madhuri Dixit in Abodh. Pal was last seen on the silver screen in Khildai back in 2013. 

May his soul rest in peace and pray for the strength of the family.
