Total 14 fresh cases of the new coronavirus variant have been reported in India on Wednesday taking the overall tally to 20 cases so far in the country. And, as per reports, out of the total 20 cases of the new coronavirus strain, eight are from the national capital and seven from Bengaluru. All 20 individuals who have tested positive have recently returned from the United Kingdom. 

Authorities have informed, 14 fresh cases of the new coronavirus mutant have been registered in India on 30th December, Wednesday taking the overall tally to 20 cases, across the country.

The fresh 20 cases include six persons reported earlier, three in NIMHANS, Bengaluru, two in CCMB, Hyderabad and one in NIV, Pune

Currently, West Bengal recorded its first case of the new strain on Wednesday. The patient is the son of a senior official of the Calcutta Medical College and Hospital and had recently returned from London. as per the reports of PTI. 

Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have reported three positive cases for the new coronavirus strain, one UK returnee in each state. A two-year-old girl was found positive in Uttar Pradesh, the country’s most populous state raising awareness amongst the people.
